Friday 3rd July 2026 10.30am-2pm
Derby Museum of Making, 1 Silk Mill Lane, Derby, DE1 3AF
This year we are marking Action Mesothelioma Day at the Derby Museum of Making. Please join us as we raise awareness of mesothelioma, generate vital funds and honour those affected by mesothelioma. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided and we are also pleased to welcome a speaker from Unite the Union.
We will be showcasing a short drama based on real events, revealing the extraordinary lengths the asbestos industry has gone to in its attempts to silence campaigners, undermine activists and suppress the truth.
In addition, an informative video exploring thermal recycling, an innovative approach to reducing the harm caused by asbestos waste by transforming it into new, usable materials, will be shown.
Don't forget to wear blue for meso!
